What We Do: Media Education
You have 12 seconds to relay your side of the story. Do you know what you're going to say? We do. We've trained a wide variety of industries, companies and non-profit organizations. No matter the group, the rules are the same. Our media training courses take those rules and customize a course to meet the needs of all the participants. Here are our courses:

Classic Spokesperson Training
If you're responsible for delivering messages for your entire company, your customers or your community, you need this course. Whether it's an interview with 60 Minutes, fielding questions from customers or a speech at the rotary club, we'll help you convey your message in a more intelligent, memorable way. This course can be designed for one to 10 people, length and price varies. Topics include:

  • Speaking the media language
  • Rights of the interviewee
  • Trap questions and questions you don't have to answer
  • Preparing your message

The Pyramid Course
This course focuses on what you need to know now and not everything we know about dealing with the media. The name comes from our "inverted pyramid" diagram shown when we teach participants how to speak the media language. Perfect for those who do occasional interviews with mainstream and trade media and are assisted by a professional media/public relations team. The average course length is four hours.

Media Training Seminar
This two-hour course is structured for large groups who need an overview on dealing with the media. You get the basics of speaking the media language plus we'll even interview a few willing subjects to demonstrate the skills we teach in front of their colleagues.

Crisis Training
The way you communicate during the first moments of a crisis will set the stage for the duration. This course can be combined with our Classic Spokesperson Training, weaving crisis elements throughout the session, or it can be the main topic of our two-hour Crisis Training Seminar. The format allows several practice interviews in various crisis scenarios. You'll learn how to buy time, how to work together with law enforcement and city officials and how to feed the feeding frenzy. And do it all with care and concern.

Live Talk-Back
For CEOs and senior level execs needing to communicate the company's message to the financial media or investors and analysts at Road Shows. This intense, two-hour course gives you the basics for giving a live, "CNBC" style interview.
